New Year, new goals
Happy new year!
Seems like last year was only 9 months long, 2012 Already, lol.
Im so ready for it bring it on!
Goals for the new year.
1. I want to sell at a few more shows, maybe even a high end show.
2. Create a few "out side of the box" new things for the shows.
3. Home shows for my pendants.
4. Id like to consign my jewelry at a couple salons.
5. Charm my husband enough so he wants to continue doing all my shows with me.
6. Do some more commission work.
So with that said, I have some work to do.
1. Research upcoming shows.
2. Look into privately owned salons that may be interested in selling my pendants.
3. Get my tail end into the glass room and put my creativity hat on again.
4. And of course sweet talking that man of mine.
I look forward to any comments or ideas anyone cares to share. Drop me a line.

Craft shows continue
I have my studio back in order, and attended two shows so far this year. I still have one show to attend this year.
Many of myy items are Clearanced to move. My goal is to sell out and thus be able to create all new items for next years show.
I'll be at the Holday Bazaar located at Ferndale High School, 881 Pinecrest, Ferndale
This show is a one day show Dec 10th, Saturday, from 10:00am to 4:00 pm.
This is a great chance to get some holiday shopping done, help support local artists and find some unique fun items to give away. Hope to see you there, and hope I sell out of all my stock.

My glass studio
Thanks to the unforeseen Mother Nature, my studio is being rebuilt. The plan here is to make it more user friendly. This is a good thing, right. Easier to maneuver in and therefor easier to make new fun creations! Almost ready to start creating again.
Cant wait.

Looking for more exposure
Ever since I started out creating stained glass, and now fused glass pieces, I have always wanted this to be a business. So I am just throwing this out there, do you know of any shops, boutiques, spas, salons, pubs etc that may be interested in letting me display and sell my items? If so Send me a message. Im ready for more venues.
Thanx in advance

Ending 2010, means a new 2011
I finished all my shows for this year and would like to say thank you to anyone who has shopped with me.
This was my fourth year doing craft shows, and I think I am starting to become recognized. This I have to say its a great feeling.
I decided to move my booth location at the Warren Woods Tower Show, to the gym area (being less cramped in there), and had a customer tell me she looked for me in the previous location and wondered if I was not showing this year. That felt so good.
This years shows produced four custom orders, along with many new friends and customers.
Some of my good sellers are shown here and will be produced again since they seem to disappear pretty quickly.
A new venture for me is Kahvi Coffee, in Warren. Dave Kitts is the owner and he has been awesome enough to let me bring in some of my glass sun catchers to sell at his coffee shop. We have no idea if this is going to be ongoing, but both Dave and I hope it will work out. If so I plan on taking in new items bi-weekly. So why not stop in for a coffee or tea and a yummy snack or ice cream, and peek at my pretty glass! Kahvi Coffee is located on old 13 Mile Road, S of Van Dyke.
I'm going to post some new items for 2011 release periodically, so check back.
Wishing all my friends (customers family etc.)
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hope to see my family and friends at the shows.

Crafty Buyer's Shoppe
28th annual Juried show. This is a huge show, there are around 400 crafter booths here and tons to look at. Because its "juried", they limit the amount of sellers with the same type of craft. Soo much to see.
They even offer a convenient shuttle for shoppers. Lots of refreshments, food and of course a bake sale. If your kiddies get tired the high school students offer FREE babysitting.
Hope to see my family and friends at the shows.

Fused Glass Pendants, Lots of them
OOh Have I been busy creating, taking little pieces of glass and laying them out to see what I get, then changing it up moving them little pieces again, then when I think I may be satisfied, well off to the kiln they go.
I never know what I'm going to end up with, just a vague idea of what the finished piece will be, and then wha-la. Okay so what if not a wha-la, well, then I go back to the cutting board, and start to play with them lil pieces of glass again. Sometimes I add to them sometime I scrap them for a day when my creativity is in a better place.
I dont even realize how much time is spent creating, but I have made around 100 pieces so far.
This link will take you to see more of my pendants.

Fusing Glass
So I wanna play with a kiln, and I will. I was introduced to fused jewelry by a new friend Bonni. And now I have this load voice in my head saying play with glass. It keeps telling me over and over again. SO I listened. I bought a kiln, and some fuseable glass and Im on my way. Ever so slowly, but Im going to use my spare time to do fusing as well as stained glass.
I have already made a few pieces that are for sale, and pics are sure to follow.

Commission work, completed
I created a piece for my nephew as a gift too. This is for a friend that is a music major, so I began hunting the internet for pics of music and this is the results. Not bad If I say so myself. He was more than thrilled and I hope his friend will be too.

I finished my last piece of the year. I met a gent at my last show and was asked to create a piece for him as a gift. Which of course I did. Again I think I did a great job, and patted myself on the shoulder.
So now its time to start all over again. I have been making lists of stuff I think may be interesting, and so far I have come up with, coffee/tea items, and some wine related items. I'm even thinking of teacher type stuff? Any ideas share with me please.
Come back and look for pics in the future.
Happy Holidays to all!

This years shows have tired me out!
This years shows included, Utica Methodist Church, Warren Woods Tower High School, and Leon & Lulu's Artist's Market.
I was very excited about the last showing, because this was totally unexpected. I sent an application to participate and I was selected. Yeah me. The store is really fun, packed with way too much to see in one trip. The exposure I received is great! I was able to meet so many interesting artists of different media. I am amazed at some of the beautiful work out there that is made locally.
I am really pooped from all my craft shows this year. Soon I hope to have time to unpack and store my goods, and then its on to creating for the next year! I'm thinking different, how just yet I'm not sure, but different than that of previous years work.
Check back for updates.
I want to take the time to say how much I appreciate all my artsy friends (old friends and new) for talking with me and inspiring me in many different ways.
